A capacitance level sensor is a level sensor that operates off of radio frequencies. They are often called RF level sensors, as an abbreviation for radio frequency. They are sometimes also referred to as admittance level sensors. These sensors detect the level of a material based on the alternating current circuit that changes along with the level of the liquid or material. These sensors are highly useful for measurement readings where accuracy is extremely important, such as when measuring molten metal or other dangerous liquids or chemicals. Chemical industry: Capacitance sensors are ideal for measuring chemicals and other dangerous liquids. They are often used for soda ash, oil, fuel, clay, chemical powders, and liquid chemicals.
Food industry: Capacitance sensors are also sanitary enough to use in the food and beverage industry. The sensors are used to monitor the levels of grain for animals, molasses and sugar liquids, beer and wine, dairy products, pet food pellets, flour and grain for humans, powdered milk, sodas and other beverages, and a variety of other products.
Plastic industry: The plastics industry also uses RF level sensors to monitor the levels of resin, plastic pellets, liquid plastics, rubber, and plastic powders.
Woodworking industry: In woodworking, RF sensors are used for monitoring sawdust levels, wood chips, wood shavings, and other powdered forms of construction materials.
Mining industry: The mining industry uses RF sensors to measure powdered minerals, clay, slurry, sand, stone, glass, and many other materials, powdered or otherwise.
Water and waste treatment: Capacitance level sensors are a necessity for the water and waste treatment industry.
