As of now, the best way to deal with inconsistency issues is to purchase a quality gauge and to store it safely away when not in use or during travel. Finding ways to keep this gauge accurately calibrated is also an important factor to keep in mind. Essentially, my uncle’s best bet would be to keep his pressure gauges carefully and securely stored away, preventing calibration and durability issues that can otherwise affect readouts.
